Originally opening its doors in 1989 to support vulnerable Calgarians, CUPS has shifted towards a more integrated care approach, with science leading the way. In partnership with the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, CUPS is shedding light on the issue of trauma and its connection with poverty.
“Trauma brought about in the early years that has shaped you, not only yourself but your brain as well,” says Robert Perry, Senior Director at CUPS.
