Volunteers are a vital and vibrant part of CUPS’ programming and service delivery. Volunteers donate their talent and energy and do so with compassion and a commitment to helping the people we serve at CUPS. We are committed to ensuring that CUPS volunteers have a rewarding experience and that their skills and dedication are valued.
As a CUPS volunteer, you are placed in a position of trust with CUPS program participants including health patients, families, including young children, school age children, individuals, students, staff or property. All adult volunteers working directly with our program participants require a valid security clearance.
Volunteer Application (online application)
We would like to thank you in advance for considering CUPS as your organization of choice. Your application will be reviewed by our human resources department and entered into our data base. Volunteers are contacted based upon project needs and fit. Thank you in advance for your application.
Prospective volunteers must first register as a volunteer by completing the CUPS Volunteer Application. Once completed, submit application along with a scanned copy of your photo ID to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteer administrators at CUPS will verify your identity and register you in our volunteer database. You will then be provided with a letter enabling you to obtain a police information check from the Calgary Police Service (CPS). You may visit a police information check location as listed in the volunteer letter confirmation email sent to you by CUPS Volunteer Administrators.
Your security clearance is valid for five years. Please note, prospective volunteers must reside in Canada for a full year before registering. Police clearances from countries other than Canada are not accepted.
