Feeling the power of community

It takes a community to do the work we do — that community is you.

From little Georgie who learned about homelessness at school and rallied her classmates to make a care package, to the thousands of Calgarians who dropped off water and sunscreen during the July heatwave and every corporation that offered support to CUPS through physical or financial contributions…we have felt an outpouring of support over the past year.

CUPS relies on generous community support to provide the services our clients need, and despite the difficult challenges faced by the community over these past two years, it has been wonderful to receive support from you, our neighbours and partners. While we know there is a rocky road ahead to get to full recovery, we are inspired by those around us who are working to build resilience each and every day and build a stronger future for themselves and their family.

We are stronger together and that holds true into 2022. We look forward to providing the community much needed health care services, providing children and parents with developmental and emotional support as well as economic support for those in need.

“I feel good being able to help someone.” - Georgie

We would like to send a big “Thank You” to the Calgary community and our partners for the support they have provided us and we look forward to continuing helping those in need in the new year.

From all of us at CUPS, we wish you the best through the holiday season.
