CUPS ranked with top charities in Canada
The CUPS Calgary Society has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Charities in the country by Charity Intelligence Canada (Ci). This marks the fifth year in a row that CUPS has been recognized for its work in the social service sector.
CUPS has been making an impact in Calgary for more than 30 years, working to help Calgarians who are experiencing poverty, overcome trauma and build resilience for a stronger future.
We do this through an integrated care approach to healthcare, education and housing. By assessing clients through our Integrated Care Tool, we are able to create customized support plans that directly address the needs of each and every individual that comes through our doors. In the last year, more than 9,100 individuals accessed support at CUPS.
Charity Intelligence is focused on providing evidence-based research to help Canadians with their giving decisions. The Top 100 list a way for community members and supporters to learn more about the financial transparency of a charity, how they report results, their demonstrated impact and how much of your donation goes towards administration when compared to program development.
At CUPS, for every single dollar you donate, 84 cents goes directly to program support and development. That commitment to transparency and accountability is one of the reasons we are included in the Top 100 list and hope to remain there for years to come!
