Status Of Women Canada Sponsors “GROWING OUT OF POVERTY” Project
Calgary Urban Project Society (CUPS) will like to acknowledge and thank the Status Of Women Canada for their generous donation of $ 56,000.00 toward the “Growing Out Of Poverty” project. CUPS’s “Growing Out Of Poverty” project is geared toward group medical visits where it is hoped that in a milieu of peer support and increased self advocacy there would be early identification of developmental and parenting problems. It is hoped that early identification will lead to better functional outcome for women and their families. Participating women in this project can expect to develop greater life and parenting skills while having direct access to great medical services. The literacy skills of participants will also be developed so as to increase their chances for economic independence. With the continuous support of Status of Women Canada, we are confident that this joint objective will be reached. Once again, thank you for your support.
