Medical Office Assistant – Casual

We have an immediate casual position for a Medical Office Assistant.
Under the direction of the Health Clinic Manager, and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, the MOA manages the flow of the clients in the Primary Health and Women’s clinics in a confidential manner. The MOA is responsible for maintenance of the patient WOLF EMR files. Other duties include patient scheduling and appointment confirmations; management of the flow of clients between both clinics (Primary and Women’s Health); participating in triage, including telephone triage, setting priorities and facilitating referrals to appropriate team members; and data entry and record maintenance for all patient assessments.
The successful candidate will possess 2-3 years of medical reception/medical office assistant experience, a flexible schedule, excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and strong computer skills. Previous experience working with clients struggling with homelessness, addictions, poverty and mental illness, and proficiency in the WOLF EMR database is a definite asset.
