Volunteer Position Title: Kitchen Assistant
Reports To: Kitchen Manager
Location: CUPS Main Site
CUPS (Calgary Urban Project Society) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1989 with the aim of helping people overcome the challenges of poverty and attain brighter futures. Since then, our work has evolved and expanded to include services in Health, Education and Housing that are delivered to thousands of adults and families each year. Through integrated healthcare, education and housing, CUPS and its partners will assist adults and families in Calgary living with the adversity of poverty and traumatic events to become self-sufficient.
Position Summary: Reporting to our Chef; this position will assist with the preparation of either bagged or cooked lunches one (1) day per week. These lunches are for our participants who are enjoying the Telus Sponsored Family Activities this summer.
July 11: 8:00-10:00am
July 17: 12:30 – 2:00pm
July 25: 8:00- 10:00am
Aug 1: 8:00 – 10:00am
Aug 8: 8:00- 10:00am
Aug 14: 12:30 – 2:00pm
Aug 21: 12:30 – 2:00pm
Aug 29: 8:00- 10:00am
Responsibilities (but not limited to): Assisting our chef with either assembling bagged lunches or preparing cooked lunches.
Preferred experience: Food safety awareness
