CUPS (Calgary Urban Project Society) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1989 with the aim of helping people overcome the challenges of poverty and attain brighter futures.
CUPS believes that the science of building brains and resiliency is essential to the work of helping adults and families achieve self-sufficiency and needs to be applied in all of their practice. Advocating at a systems level to reduce barriers to services among CUPS target population is also critical to how CUPS works that assists adults and families in Calgary living with the adversity of poverty and traumatic events to become self-sufficient.
Graduated Rent Subsidy Worker
(FT PERMANENT, 37.5 HR/WEEK)
The Graduated Rent Subsidy Worker will be responsible for screening and assessing new housing subsidy requests, general referrals as well as assisting and administering our crisis intervention fund for program participants. This position will ensure that participant information is collected and properly administrated into the HMIS database to ensure accurate reporting of outcomes. Follow up with landlords and tenants to ensure financial accountability is mandated. This position will be responsible to communicate all relevant information to community partners. Within this role an identification piece has been added to ensure our program participants have access to obtaining ID.
