Crisis Intervention Fund (CIF)

The Crisis Intervention Fund (CIF) offers one-time help of up to $400 for first month’s rent, utility disconnection or eviction notices.

This program does not locate housing, help with sublets or any unsustainable rental situations.

How To Use Our Services

• You must be a low-income earner (and provide proof of income)
• You must find a place to rent on your own and must show proof of rental eg, rent report or lease
• You must show proof of income and show that you can afford your rent
• You must be living in Calgary.

What You Need to Bring with You

• Proof of income eg AB Works, AISH, job confirmation or two (2) pay stubs
• Three (3) months of current bank statements
• Disconnection or eviction notice (if applicable)
• Proof of damage deposit (for first month’s rent)
• Proof of rental report or lease (for first month’s rent)

Please proceed to CUPS main reception to complete an intake for referral into this program. Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on fund availability.
