Director – Family Support Centre

The Director – Family Support Centre will actively engage community resources to build a seamless transition for our clients that utilize our services within our Family Centre.
Leading a diverse team, the Director – Family Support Centre is responsible for coordinating the supports and services for families who access CUPS and facilitates program development, outcome measurement and evaluation coupled with overseeing an effective and consistent case management system. This individual will facilitate resources that will create stability within the family unit, working collaboratively with partnering agencies and other CUPS programs.
This individual will have a strong working knowledge of systems and general instrumental needs analysis, be a self-starter with at risk situations, have a familiarity of CUPS programs and be able to effectively collaborate within the community. Specific accountabilities will include executing intake assessments, developing action plans, crisis counselling, goal setting and facilitating effective communication with program participants, staff, volunteers, peer support helpers, students and community partners.
The successful candidates will have a Degree in Social Work with a minimum of 10 years related experience. The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to evidence based practice and the ability to work in a team environment. This individual must have an understanding of poverty and homelessness, and possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. The assignment will require collaborative planning and will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team.
