Accounts Payable Clerk

CUPS is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk at a 0.5 FTE – days and hours to be determined.
Reporting to the CUPS’ Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the entry of a high volume of vendor invoices and cheque requisitions into CUPS financial database; Financial Edge. This hands-on accounts payable role encompasses a wide range of duties such as matching, batching, coding and inputting a high volume of accounts payable invoices. As well as cheque runs, generating payments, resolving accounts payable issues with vendors, coding and data entry of expense reports, review and posting journals and ad hoc projects as required for the accounting department within CUPS.
The successful candidate will have completed a recognized accounting diploma with a proven competency of the accounting cycle along with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounting role. This individual will have a working knowledge of accounting systems and procedures with strong, accurate data entry skills. Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital to the role.
This individual may also possess a working knowledge of accounting software such as Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, and Microsoft Excel systems.
This position works collaboratively with all of CUPS programs.
